What is LOKDOWN?

LOKDOWN is a cloud based communication tool used by School Staff, Administration, and Local Emergency Responders to communicate during an emergency.


INTRUDER

In the event of an Intruder or other major crisis, with the touch of a button Teachers can initiate LOKDOWN for their building and immediately send notifications to all relevant Staff, District Administrators, and Local Emergency Responders.

FIRE

In the event of a Fire LOKDOWN notifies all relevant Personnel on their phones or computers. By responding to the notification, they can quickly let Administrators and Emergency Responders know they, along with their students, are safe and accounted for.

FIGHT

When there is a Fight, LOKDOWN allows Staff close to the event to send a notification to multiple Building Administrators and Crisis Team Personnel letting them know their location and request assistance.

MEDICAL

If a there is a Student who is having a medical emergency and needs assistance LOKDOWN can be used to notify the Building Administrators, Nurses, and Crisis Team Personnel allowing them to quickly respond.

How LOKDOWN Works.


LOKDOWN is an Emergency Communication Application built for Schools to use during a time of crisis. It arms Teachers and staff on the front lines, with a simple and easy to use "App" on their phones or computers which allows them to communicate with Administrators, Crisis Teams, and even Emergency Responders in real time. The entire system is cloud based, so it is accessible from anywhere via Broadband or where Cellular connections are available. This also makes LOKDOWN available should power or wired connectivity be lost.

LOKDOWN is a secure and very simple communication tool which can be used by Teachers and Staff Members to initiate LOKDOWN protocols within their building. Emergency notification messages are immediately sent to all Teachers, Staff Members, District and Building Administrators, and Emergency Responders via Text Messaging and Email. Teachers and Staff Members are asked to respond with the location and status of themselves and their Students. A dashboard keeps Administration and Emergency Responders aware of the current status of every Teacher and Staff Member in real time throughout the event. The system also allows Administration or Authorities to follow the most secure procedures lifting a LOKDOWN when the event has ended.
